Registration
Do I have to register?
In order to facilitate the
organization of the free pre-training visits, and the assignment of qualified
trainers to schools, BPEC kindly requests that all interested schools return their
Registration Form.
Am I committed to the training
if I return my Registration Form?
No. Returning your Registration
Form does not in any way obligate your school to undertake the training.
I had a problem with the
Online Registration Form - what should I do?
Please print
out a copy of the Registration Form and return it by post / fax. Alternatively
visit the contact / customer service page
for help.
Pre-Training
Visit
What is the pre-training
visit for - how will it benefit my school?
The pre-training visit enables
the ECM Training Package content to be customized on an individual basis.
It provides the best way for BPEC to ensure that your school receives good value
and a high quality, bespoke training product.
During this visit the qualified
BPEC trainer will discuss the areas in which your school needs assistance or advice
and examine any available data, including your last OFSTED inspection report and
your SEF.
When and where will the
pre-training visit take place?
The pre-training visit will
take place on a mutually agreeable date for both your school and BPEC. The meeting
is best conducted at your school (see previous FAQ).
When and where will the
pre-training visit take place for Cluster Training?
For Cluster Training each
school will be contacted individually and separate pre-training visits arranged
(as detailed in previous FAQ).
Is there any charge for
the pre-training visit - even if I don't take the training?
There is no charge for the
pre-training visit - it is free in all cases.
How long will it be between
the pre-training visit and the training?
This will depend upon when
BPEC can arrange the training and when your school's staff can be made available
- BPEC will endeavour to arrange your Tailored ECM Training as quickly
as possible.
When will my school be committed
to taking the training?
After the pre-training visit,
BPEC will confirm the details of your training in writing. At this point BPEC
will ask you to return a Booking Confirmation Form. This will commit you to the
training. Once this confirmation is received, BPEC will make the final arrangements
and formally contract your trainer(s).
Custom
Training Content
How long will the training
last?
The Tailored ECM Training
Package is designed to last for one day. Schools may request a second training
day if they require one.
Will my school need an additional
training day?
It is unlikely that your
school will need an additional training day.
Is there any obligation
to take a follow-up visit and will my school need one?
No. There is absolutely
no obligation to have a follow-up visit training day. BPEC has in the past been
asked to provide this service and this is the reason for offering it.
Will the same trainer undertake
the follow-up visit?
Yes. Wherever possible the
same trainer will undertake all of your training days.
What will the training include?
The Tailored ECM Training
will provide your school with a thorough understanding of all the following:
- The philosophy and principles
underpinning ECM - know what inspectors will look for
- The relationship of ECM
to the new OFSTED Inspection Framework and process
- How to check how Inclusive
your school is and 'home in' on key inspection issues
- How to successfully review
ECM policies and practices - understand how to implement ECM and Inclusion
- How to undertake the provision
mapping needed for positive ECM inspections - how to map every pupil's needs
- How to manage provision
and demonstrate resource allocation, monitoring and self-evaluation
- How to identify group /
pupil outcomes and enhance the evidence provided to inspectors
- How to ensure whole school
ECM-ready provision - as required for ECM inspections
- Prove the Five ECM Principles
are in place - show how all your 'different groups' have their needs met...
How flexible is the training
content - will it really be tailored to my school?
The ECM Training Package
content is based around a core of common elements dictated by Every Child Matters
and the management / classroom processes it demands. Yet, the training can easily
be modified and adapted to target areas where your school requires specific assistance
or advice.
Your ECM Training Package
will be uniquely tailored to your school's precise requirements. This process
is made possible by your free pre-training visit - click
here for more details.
How flexible is the training
content for Cluster Training?
The ECM Training Package
content can be modified and adapted for every participating school.
In all cases, BPEC will
work to tailor the Cluster Training to your school's precise requirements, along
with all other participating schools. Your free pre-training visit will be used
to do this - click here for more details.
